Ghana’s Economic Performance

National accounts give a most comprehensive quantitative view of the economic situation and development of a country, i.e. in this case Ghana. For this reason all units and economic activities are part of the national accounts results. To make the picture more clear all the units are aggregated to groupings like economic branches and sectors. The national accounts results are published in a lot of detailed tables. This
small folder only shows a small part of the various national accounts results.

National accounts aggregate is the gross domestic product (GDP). The GDP measures the domestic production of goods and services minus the intermediate consumption of goods and services. Therefore it is mainly an indicator for production. The units constitute the economy of a country, and its transactions are recorded in the System of National Accounts (SNA 1993), the revised world-wide guidelines on national accounts.
